With the continues surge in increase of COVID-19 cases in the country,some states might see another strict lockdown.With the tally reaching 8.49 lakh with more than 28,637 cases reported in a single day and more than 22,000 deaths,People fear that another Lockdown may soon be imposed by PM Narendra Modi.
Maharashtra,UP, Bihar,Delhi,Kerala and Tamil Nadu consists of the most cases. Maharashtra continues to be the worst hit state in the country with more 2,46,600 after more than 8,139 cases reported on Saturday. Many regions in Maharashtra have already observed a 10 day lockdown and some have extended it to 18 days including Thane,Dombivali/Kalyan and Mira According to the reports if the situation doesn't improve in these states then the government may impose another Lockdown.
The Capital and Financial Capital of India, Delhi and Mumbai both are hit hard by coronavirus. Delhi on Saturday reported 1,741 new cases taking the tally to 1,10,921 and saw 34 new deaths taking the tally to 3,334. With more 87,692 recoveries,Delhi has 21,508 active cases now.
Meanwhile Mumbai reported 1,308 new cases on Saturday most famously Legendary Actor Shri Amitabh Bachchan and and his Son Abhishek Bachchan. Saturday also saw 1,497 recoveries.The number of Recoveries stand at 63,431 out of 91,457 and the recovery rate increases to 69 per cent.
Many states have already taken action themselves by imposing lockdown in certain areas, it is to be seen what action the government takes now or does it allow the states to do what the feel is best for their region.It is still to be known.
