India will suprass Russia to become the 3rd worst hit country tomorrow



India new cases of the coronavirus infection reached a record high on Sunday, with the Union Health Ministry saying 24,850 new cases were identified in the 24 hours.The total is now 6,73,165 - roughly 1,400 cases behind Russia, which is the third worst-hit nation from coronavirus. India also witnessed 613 deaths during the last 24-hour period, taking the total number of death count to 19,268. With a steady rise, the number of recoveries stands at 4,09,083, the government said today.This is the ninth consecutive day that India's coronavirus infections increased by more than 18,000.
The number of coronavirus cases in Maharashtra, the worst-hit state in the country  crossed the two lakh-mark with 7,074 new cases on Saturday.
According to BMC, Mumbai reported 1180 new cases taking the Tally to 82,814. Mumbai also recorded  1071 recoveries and 68 deaths on Sunday taking the toll to 53463 recoveries and 4,827 deaths. The active cases in this city is now 24,524.
On Saturday Mira Bhayander recorded 126 new cases and 6 deaths. The total number of cases in this township is now 4011 with 2,946 recoveries and 158 deaths.The active cases in this township now stands at 907. A survey till 2nd June saw M.B.M.C  to have the second highest recovery rate in  all of Maharashtra with 73.37 percent only behind Nagpur with 81.56 per cent.
