Final Year Exams to be conducted remotely in October first week:Uday Samant

 

Uday Samant shared this information through a press conference on Monday

Higher and Technical Education Minister Uday Samant on Monday announced that the final year exams will take place remotely in the first week of October in Maharashtra.

He said "We will not conduct exams at short notice,and students have sufficient time to prepare. Exams will be conducted in October first week. I request students to utilize September to study."

He later on added that the state is not in a position to conduct exams physically and that Universities are exploring options to conduct exams remotely.

A Six Member Committee will decide the dates and methods of conducting the exams, which is expected to be announced on September 2,2020.

Recently the Supreme Court had declared that students cannot be promoted without final year exams and even added that States can approach the UGC if they can't hold exams after September 30.

More information regarding this is yet to be announced as students wait for their fate.
