The Bombay High Court on Tuesday said that they don't do agree with Kangana Ranaut's statement on Twitter against Maharashtra Government and Mumbai police but have said Sanjay Raut to show some 'grace' and think before speaking.
The observations were made by the Court after they observed that Raut had admitted in his affidavit that he had used some abusive words in an interview to a TV Channel.
His lawyer though denied this allegation and said that his client had not mentioned Ranaut's name when he spoke a sentence to describe a girl and said it could not be construed that the Shiv Sena MP had abused the actor.
The bench was hearing the case of Ranaut's petition against the demolishing of her house by the BMC last month. On Monday Ranaut's advocate played the clip of the interview where he(Raut) was heard saying "woh xxxx ladki" (That xxxx girl).
Replying to this,Justice Kathawalla said, " You(Raut) are a leader, a parliamentarian. You should have been cautious while making statements. Even we don't agree with what the petitioner (Ranaut) has said. Is this the way to address it?"
The court has now proposed the hearing till next week. Updates to be provided later.
