After months of speculation and waiting, Final Year Students finally now know when they have to appear for exams for their graduation.
Two weeks after The Supreme Court passed the order that final year exams cannot be postponed, and asking all the Universities to submit their timetable to the main body for review, The Mumbai University has finally released the timetable and format of the exams.
All the exams will be conducted in online form and in Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) format. Students in special cases who are not able to appear for the exams will be allowed to appear for re-exam in offline format.
Mumbai University in a statement has released that the exams for repeaters, practical and theory will take place from September 15 and September 25 respectively. Fresh Candidate will appear for exams from October 1 to 17. Colleges have asked have been to submit a sample paper and conduct a mock test for the practice of the students.
A spokesperson of MU said "As discussed earlier, online exams will be in MCQ format and students will have one hour to appear for 50 marks in each subject. Those 50 marks will be converted into 75/80/100 as prescribed by each subject. Only handicap students will be allowed for extra 20 minutes for the same paper and will also have the option of choosing a writer for the examination."
