Delhi Captails beat Kolkata Knight Riders by 18 runs

The Second Match of the first double header saw Delhi Captails beat Kolkata Knight Riders by 18 runs in a high run fest contest. KKR came into the match with a comfortable win against Royals while Delhi had lost their previous game.

Delhi started out great in the power play and added 56 runs but lost Shikhar Dhawan. Prithvi Shaw and Shreyas Iyer didn't let the wicket of Dhawan hold them back. Prithvi Shaw scored 66 off 41 balls(4 fours and 4 sixes), while Shreyas Iyer remained unbeaten at 88 in just 38 balls (7 fours and 6 sixes) and with a Cameo of Rishab Pant of 38 off 17 balls hepled Delhi Finish with a score of 228/4.

The response of Knight Riders was not that great at start. Shubman Gill and Nitish Rana tried their best but didn't got any support from others. Rana managed to score 58 off 35 balls. The expectation fell on Andre Russell but he failed to live up to his usual standards again.

With 90 runs needed in last 5 overs, everyone thought it would have been an easy win for DC but...but Eoin Morgan and Rahul Tripathi had some other ideas. The duo started to fire and brought down the equation down 31 runs needed in the last 2 overs.

Just when it seemed like Delhi had lost the most winnable of games, Morgan lost his wicket. He tried to lay down another big one but missed and finished with a score of 44 Runs in just 18 balls(1 four and 5 sixes). After his wicket it was just too much for Tripathi and he too fell down in the last over scoring 36 off 16 balls (3 fours and 3 sixes) as KKR finishes with a score of 210/8 in their 20 overs and lost the game by 18 runs.
