Ministry of Education cancels CBSE Class 10 Exams & postponed Class 12 Exams

 

With the recent surge of COVID-19 in India, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 10 Exams have been cancelled whereas Class 12 exams have been postponed to a further date. This Development comes after Prime Minister Narendra Modi's meeting with top officers and Education Minister.

The CBSE Class 12 exams which were supposed to be held from May 4 to June 14 has now been postponed says Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank through his tweets.

A decision of fresh dates will be taken on a meeting on June 1. He also said Students will be informed about exams atleast 15 days earlier.

As for Class 10, the results will be prepared "on the basis of an objective criterion to be developed by the board." Students who are not satisfied with the results, will then have the opportunity to take the exams whenever they can be held.

For schools under the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) board, a decision is yet to be announced.
