Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today announced the extension of the current lockdown by another seven days, i.e till 17th May in the view of COVID-19 surge in the capital. Metro Trains will not operate during the next seven days.
According to an order released by the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), marriages can only be held at home or courts with no more than 20 people.
- "There will be complete prohibition on marriage ceremonies at public places, banquet halls, hotels and similar places during the period" read the order. However essential services will remain functional.

Despite Delhi showing signs of improvement in the positivity rate and number of daily cases, CM Arvind Kejriwal does not want to show any leniency in awareness just yet.
