In the ongoing fued between the Indian Medical Association (IMA) and Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev, the Patanjali Yogpeet has confirmed that it has recieved a defamation notice from the IMA demanding an apology from Ramdev over remarks on allopathy and have said that they are ready to give a "befitting reply".
Responding to the query by PTI, Patanjali Yogpeet General Secretary Acharya Balkrishna said "We will give them befitting reply legally which way we do all things while serving our great motherland and humanity."
The company also said that they carry out all activities with "scientific and truthful temperament" and "will not allow anyone to disparage, neglect and demean the great knowledge and science of rishis and scriptures".
Two days ago, the IMA had served a six page defamation notice to Baba Ramdev for his alleged disparaging remarks against allopathy and demanded an apology from him within 15 days, failing to do so will see the IMA demand a compensation of Rs 1,000 Crore from him.
