CBI takes custody of former Maha Home Minister Anil Deshmukh

On Wednesday, The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) took former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh into their custody from the Arthur Road Jail in Mumbai where he was lodged.

The Central Agency has lodged a case of extortion against him and will produce him before the CBI court today.

Yesterday, the Central Agency told the Special CBI court that Deshmukh tried to evade the questioning by citing health issues.

CBI has already taken custody of former Mumbai Police officer Sachin Vaze and two of the close aides of Deshmukh.
