In an unfortunate incident in Gujarat, 6 people lost their lives after an explosion took place ata chemical factory in the Bharuch district on Monday.
"There was a blast at a factory - Om Organics early on Monday between 12.30 am and 1 am. Six people working at the site have been killed," Bharuch Superintendent of Police Leena Patil said.
The blast then led to a fire breakout which was later brought under control.
"The blast in the reactor caused a fire in the factory. All the six persons working near the reactor died. The bodies were later recovered and sent to postmartem. The fire was also brought under control," she added.
Expressing his grief over the loss, PM Modi has announced an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh each from the PMNRF to the next of the kin deceased and Rs 50,000 to the injured.

An ex-gratia of Rs. 2 lakh each from PMNRF would be given to the next of kin of the deceased. The injured would be given Rs. 50,000.
