On Tuesday afternoon, Maharashtra BJP's Beed unit chief – Bhagirath Biyani killed himself by shooting in the head with his licensed revolver at his residence in Mira Nagar area.
As per a police official, Biyani's family members heard the gunshot and rushed him to a hospital, where he was declared brought dead.
The BJP leader, who was in his 50s, was suffering from some health issues, the official said, adding that a further probe was underway.
