Even during the year-end the city of Mumbai is witnessing extreme humidity and has been recorded as hottest city in pan-India since Friday, as per regional IMD data.
- The highest day temperature in Maharashtra was 35.6 degrees Celsius on Friday, and 33 degrees Celsius on Sunday. Mumbai residents are yet to experience the winter season due to high temperatures.
As per the weather department, not only the financial capital but the entire Konkan region as well as several other parts of Maharashtra namely, Solapur and Ratnagiri has been experiencing warm days and nights.
- As per the IMD, the situation will likely continue for the next few days when residents may complain of heat and humidity not only during the day but also at night.
Meanwhile the North Indian states like Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, among others have already been shivering with recording a dip in mercury with the lowest temperature hovering around 6°C, however, the maximum temperature is climbing to 25°C.
