900+ security personnel sent to quell Manipur violence

More central security forces have been sent to Manipur

Amid escalating tensions caused by ethnic violence between the Kuki-Zo-Chin tribes and the Meiteis in Manipur, the central government has dispatched over 900 additional security personnel to the affected region.

According to a senior police officer, the Ministry of Home Affairs has dispatched 10 more companies, totaling around 900 personnel, from paramilitary forces such as CRPF, BSF, ITBP, and SSB to Manipur.

These forces arrived in the state capital, Imphal, on Saturday night and will be deployed across various districts in the northeastern state.
