Amid escalating tensions caused by ethnic violence between the Kuki-Zo-Chin tribes and the Meiteis in Manipur, the central government has dispatched over 900 additional security personnel to the affected region. |
| According to a senior police officer, the Ministry of Home Affairs has dispatched 10 more companies, totaling around 900 personnel, from paramilitary forces such as CRPF, BSF, ITBP, and SSB to Manipur. |
These forces arrived in the state capital, Imphal, on Saturday night and will be deployed across various districts in the northeastern state.
