Football Is Back
After a 100 Days Hiatus due to the ongoing global Pandemic CoronaVirus (Covid 19) Football is back in England as the Premier League resumed it's season on Wednesday 17th June 2020 as Aston Villa played out a goalless draw against Sheffield United at the Villa Park.Later Reigning Champions Manchester City swept apart a injury rid Arsenal 3-0 at the Etihad with a little helping hand of Arsenal Defender David Luiz who had a nightmare restart. Elsewhere Serie A also resumed on Friday as Torino Played out a 1-1 draw with Parma.Spain also saw the return of football.On Saturday,Champions FC Barcelona were held to a goalless draw with Seville.
On Sunday Real Madrid beat Real Sociedad 2-1 to go on top of LaLiga Table ahead of Barcelona on Goal Difference.In Germany football had already resumed since late May and on June 17,Champions Bayern Munich clinched a 9th Successive Bundesliga Title by beating Werder Bermen away by 1-0.
But the most important talk of the globe was Liverpool Inevitably Title Win. The Reds last tasted success of league title game in 1990. Before the pause Liverpool were 25 points clear at the top ahead of Champions Manchester City and needed only 2 more wins to guarantee a first league title in 30 years. On Sunday Liverpool travelled to their local rivals Everton at the Goodsin Park. The game was full of anticipations from both sides of fan but turned out to be mere disappointment as they played out a dull goalless draw. Liverpool can still clinch the title on Wednesday against Palace if Man City fail to win against Burnley on Monday.
