India become the third Country to set an unwanted record of 10 lakh COVID-19 cases when the country saw a record high near 35,000 cases on Thursday in just 24 hours. It took less than 3 weeks for the cases to go from 5 lakh to 10 lakh cases. Earlier Mumbai was the hotspot in the country but now it is getting a normal range of cases everyday between 1200-1500. It is the other regions where the cases have now started to increase specially Karnataka,West Bengal,Andhra Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. Earlier this regions were experiencing 400-600 cases a day, now everyday they are recording more than 1000 cases. India's tally reached 1,003,382 with around 6,36,600 Recoveries and 25,619 deaths.
Mumbai Recorded 1,498 new cases and 707 Recoveries on Thursday to take the tally to 97,751 cases and 68,537 Recoveries respectively. Mumbai saw 59 more deaths taking the death toll to 5,520. The active cases in the city now stand 23,694. The Maharashtra Government is thinking of starting Mumbai Train Service from 15th August,2020. To do that the government will be hoping for a decline in cases and more Recoveries.
