The incident of rape from a woman has come to light at a quarantine center in Navi Mumbai.
According to sources, a 40-year-old woman, who had tested positive for corona-virus, was raped at a quarantine centre in Navi Mumbai on July 17. Police Officer Ashok Rajput informed that A case has been registered at Panvel Taluka Police Station.
Official sources said the accused’s brother was earlier lodged at this quarantine centre where the man used to visit. He met the woman at the centre and asked her if she needed anything. He had developed a sort of intimacy with her by offering help.
He tried to take advantage of this intimacy and visited her on evening of 16th July and raped her, officials said.
