The surge of COVID-19 in India keeps on rising by everyday passing. On Monday India reported 37,148 new cases and 587 deaths. The number of cases has now risen to 11,55,191. The number of Recoveries have stand still and more than 20000 people have been discharged yesterday,taking the recovery number to 7,24,578. The death toll now stands at 28,084 with 4,02,529 active cases.
Mumbai Recorded 1043 new cases and 965 Recoveries on Monday to take the tally to 1,02,267 cases and 72,650 Recoveries as the recovery rate improved up to 71 per cent. Mumbai also recorded 41 deaths taking the death toll to 5,752. The active cases in the Metropolitan stands at 23,865 now.
Looks like the surge of cases has decreased in Mira Bhayander with 126 cases reported on Monday, the lowest in 10 days at the total number of cases reached 6,684. The total Recoveries crossed the 5000 mark with 92 new Recoveries taking the number to 5,159. With 6 new deaths the death toll reached 226. The lockdown has been lifted in the township except for the 10 containment zones in the region. The Active cases now stand at 1,299 in this region.
