Miscreants openly shot a journalist Vikram Joshi in the head in Ghaziabad near the Delhi NCR. Now the man is fighting to the death(in a critical condition) in a private hospital. Two of his daughters were with him at the time of the incident. Police have already handcuffed 5 criminals after watching CCTV footage.
Journalist Joshi was riding his bike with his two daughters near Vijay Nagar in Ghaziabad around 10.30 at night on 20th July. Suddenly a group of miscreants came and started harassing him. CCTV showed the bike falling and then the two girls fled in fear.
Although the CCTV footage did not show the shooting incident clearly, it was seen that the miscreants were dragging Vikram Joshi. Then Joshi is lying on the ground. His eldest daughter ran crying, screaming and trying to stop the running cars. Eventually a few came people came running for rescue.
Police official Kalanidhi said five accused have already been arrested on the basis of allegations made by Vikram Joshi's brother. A few days ago, the Journalist had complained to the Police that some people harassed his niece. According to that, Police have guessed that the attack might have taken place because of Journalist's complaint.
