The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has changed it rules again. According to new rules, a building will only be sealed if there are 3 or more cases.
"If three or more COVID-19 cases reported from a building, then the Civic body will seal a building completely. If fewer than three cases are reported, then the Civic officials will only seal a particular floor of the building and no restrictions will be imposed on the movement of other residents" a senior offical from R South Ward Said.
This action has been taken as a result of lot of complains from residents to the BMC even when only one case was found. Due to this the other residents faced a lot of problem,but now with his rule things should change a lit bit.
According to the sources there are 526 sealed buildings in Kandivali, 673 in Borivali and 213 in Dahisar. These sealed buildings have accumulated around 2600 cases as per Civic data.
