COVID-19 Vaccination to be deferred by three months after recovery: Government

On Wednesday the Government of India accepted the series of recommendation from the National Expert Group on Vaccine Administration for COVID-19 (NEGVAC) for deferring vaccination for COVID recovered patients.

The Centre has accepted the health panel's recommendation and will now introduce a three-month gap for COVID-19 recovered patients to get vaccinated.

"Individuals having lab-test proven SARS-CoV2 illness will have to defer vaccination by three months after recovering" said the Union Health Ministry.

The same also applies to a person who contracts COVID-19 after getting the first dose of vaccination. They will also have to defer their second dose by three months.
