On Friday, Defense Minister of India Rajnath Singh gave a bold message to Beijing saying "progress made in talks" between the countries "should resolve the matter" but " I cannot guarantee" the extend to which it will be resolved.

Addressing the troops in Lukung around 40 km Singh said  "Talks are currently underway to resolve the border dispute. The progress made in talk so far should resolve the matter. To what extent it will be resolved,I cannot guarantee that. But I want to assure you that no power in the world can touch an inch of Indian Territory or Capture It."

Singh told the troops that India wants peace, but is capable of befitting reply if anyone tries to hurt it's self respect.

"If a resolution can be found through talks, nothing will be better than that. The process is on,talks are going on at Military and Diplomatic Levels" he added.

With the Kargil Vijay Diwas Marking the victory in the 1999 war just less than 10 days away, he also paid respects to the soldiers who fell fighting.
