Piyush Goyal Boldly Responds to Congress On Privatisation of Railway

Responding to the Congress attack on the privatization of railways, Railway Minister Piyush Goyal has said that there are already trains for the poor.We have not privatised the Railways. Air fares have come down after the entry of private companies in aviation and efficiency. Now the poor too can Travel in Airplanes.
He said that Public Private Partnership for Railways was mentioned in every budget 2004 and 2014. In 2005 budget speech, P. Chidambaram said that the government will recognise the leading role of the private sector and provide a supportive policy environment.
He said that it is our vision that good model trains in public-private partnerships that serve the public around the world give smooth travel to India. High speed trains will also run in India and there will be large investment. With the money that Indian Railways used to bring AC trains on the normal course, we will be able to expand the railways in North India, North East and Jammu.
Under 'Make in India' , trains will be built in India and India will also be exporting trains. Attacking Congress, he said that Congress has become directionless and they themselves do not know what their policies have been in the past.
Modern trains are serving people all over the world under public private partnership. We want such trains in India as well. He said that they do not want people to get good service, comfortable travel and expansion of railways, they not want that the railways become an engine of development in the path of progress of the country. "I condemn this thinking vision of the Congress President and his son." said Piyush Goyal.
