"Today's Singers Must Compose Their Own Songs" - Himesh Reshammiya

Music composer and singer Himesh Reshammiya believes that the singers of this era should try to compose their own songs, only then will they be able to know the depth and soul of their composition. He said,"My songs have never been in the traditional zone. I pray and ask singers or composers to stay independent of their work. It is fine if the music/songs doesn't get released through bollywood films. There are a lot of Digital mediums now through which music can be released and brought in touch with the audience. Try and compose/sing 100 songs of your own, at least one will become a hit."

He said that it is not easy for everyone to understand the version of Composer, nor does everyone have the same music sense. He further added that, for example, Arijit Singh has the right kind of pickup sense but not everyone has it. Himesh Reshammiya also gave an example of Michael Jackson saying that Jackson sang for himself, he never sang for Tom Cruise.

"I think the singers of today should try to compose their own songs because that's how they will know the soul of the song and connect with the audience," Himesh said.
