What a way to resume International Cricket. After a dump day 1, due to rains and bad light the next four days brought pure entertainment to the cricketing fans all over the world. With the new normal with no person in attendance,it was always going to be different but the game didn't change at all. An interesting match was expected after a long Hiatus and that's what we got.
West Indies have been brilliant in their entire match and take a much deserving 1-0 lead in the series. They were terrific with ball and bat both. With needing 200 runs to win, they lost 3 wickets early but J Blackwood stand stood. His 95 runs helped the Caribbean side win the match. Captain Jason Holder and Man of the Match S Gabriel were brillant the later picking 5-75 and 4-62 in the first innings. England just had no answer to the West Indies pace attack. The Second test will be played on 16th July.
From Cricket to Football. The North London was set to be dived when Tottenham Hotspurs Took on Arsenal in the North London With Spurs 2 points behind the Gunners,they knew a win will take them over the North London rivals but had a bad start when Alex Lacazette thumped in a stunner from 20 yards out to beat Hugo Lloris in the 16th minute to give Arsenal the Lead. Arsenal have been pretty awful this season when it came to defending and a mistake at the back allowed Son Heung Min to dip the ball over the outrushing keeper to equalise just 2 minutes later.
It reminded Stall mate till the final 10 minutes and the deadlock was broken in the 81st Minute when Spurs Defender Toby Alderweireld headed in a corner to turn the game around 2-1. That goal proved out to be the winner and Jose's men climbed above Arsenal at 8th spot.
Leicester City somehow shocking lost to 18th place Bournemouth 4-1. Despite leading Thanks to Jamie Vardy, Bournemouth scored twice within a minute to turn the game 2-1 around. It was the moment after the second goal where the game changed when Leicester Defender Soyancu was sent off. The hosts took advantage of it and added two more to keep their survival hopes alive.
AC Milan draw with Napoli 2-2, means the Milan side are yet to lose a single game in all competitions since the restart.7 matches played 5 wins 2 draw and 0 losses. Those wins consist of wins over Roma, Juventus and Lazio all who are above then in the table and then a draw with Napoli. AC Milan will now try to atleast get a Europa League spot for next season.
