The Air India Express from Dubai to Kozhikode with 191 passengers on board has crashed at the Karipur Airport while landing on Friday night.The injured have been taken to the near hospital in Malapuram. The incident has supposed to have taken place at 7:40 pm. It is said that the aircraft had overshot the runway and plunged 30 feet away.This resulted in major damage to the cockpit with the airplane spitting in half.
The plane was lucky to not catch fire as it would have resulted in instant blast and killing everyone. According to the sources 6 people have died including the pilot Deepak Vasant.
