Bharat Celebrates 74 Years of Independence.

In his address to the nation on the occasion of India’s 74th Independence Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi Saturday applauded frontline workers fighting against novel coronavirus. He said India was going through a unique phase owing to the pandemic but would come out victorious, thanks to the resolve of the people. PM Modi highlighted the importance to make India self-reliant, saying it was not just a word but should be a “mantra” for all countrymen.

PM Modi launched a National Digital Health Mission and said it will usher in a revolution in India’s health sector. He said every Indian will now get a unique health ID. He also said the country must not only ‘Make in India’ but also ‘Make for the World’.

In a strong message to Pakistan and China, without taking names of the either country, PM Modi said, “Those who challenge India’s sovereignty, be it LoC or LAC, have been given a befitting reply in their own language. What India and our Jawans can do, the world has seen it in Ladakh.” Talking about Jammu and Kashmir, the Prime Minister said India is committed to holding assembly elections in the Valley once delimitation exercise is complete.

The entire country is full of vigour to protect India's sovereignty. Inspired by resolutions and moving beyond unwavering reverence on affordability. The PM said, "I salute all those brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the sake of motherland today."

Prime Minister Narendra Modi says India's efforts are for peace and tranquility as much as the commitment is to strengthen its army for its security. He said India is now at full capacity for self-sufficiency in defence production. Our border and coastal infrastructure also play a very big role in the security of the country.

The PM said that whether it be the Himalayan peaks or the Indian Ocean islands, today, the country is expanding in an unprecedented way of road and internet connectivity, at a rapid pace.

The Prime Minister said that today India has made the impossible, possible in extraordinary times. With this will, every Indian has to move forward. He said that our Policies, our Process, our Products, everything should be the best, only then will we be able to realise the vision of The Best India.

Defence expert Lt Gen Shankar Prasad (R) highlighted similar points related to defence as PM Modi. He also said that the PM has also made its policy clear to neighbouring countries, we have not shied away from having good relations with the countries from which we meet.

According to Shankar Prasad, PM Modi has stressed on India's self-sufficiency in defence. He said that in this link, India has decided to make the defence goods of its own.

The decision to lay fibre optics in all villages of the country was welcomed by defence expert Shankar Prasad and said it would benefit the villages along the border. In addition, the PM also stressed on infrastructure such as roads, mobile networks and expansion of electricity in the border area.

Defence expert Lt Gen Shankar Prasad (R) stressed on ncc and stressed on giving them more responsibilities. This will enhance ncc participation in the country's defence.

Shankar Prasad termed the announcement to deploy women in the Navy and Air Force on the war front as an important decision. He said that women soldiers in the army have not yet entered the combat roll, but women soldiers of Assam Rifles are stationed in Jammu and Kashmir. He said the PM has given a message that women will also get combat rolls in future.

Defence expert Shankar Prasad said that 80 to 90 per cent of the PM's speech was focused on development, health and corona, but the PM gave a message to China and Pakistan in a balanced manner that these two countries should be alert, we have shown up in Ladakh and if an attempt is made to show audacity, India will respond to enemies in an even stronger way. 

Independence Day at the Red Fort was attended by 4,000 guests including diplomats, officials and media personnel. However, other rules, including maintaining social distance to prevent infection, were strictly followed during this day's event.
