Bhojpuri film actress Anupama Pathak allegedly killed herself at her Mumbai home, police said on Friday.
Anupama Pathak, 40, was found hanging at her rented flat in Mira Road area of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region on Sunday(2nd August), police said.
Mrs Pathak, who was from Bihar, was seen in several Bhojpuri films and TV shows.
A day before her death, she had shared a Facebook video and said that she felt cheated and was unable able to trust anyone. In the video, she spoke about not having friends who can be of help.
She allegedly killed herself when her husband was not at home, police said, adding that a suicide note has been found.
A police official said she felt cheated as a friend did not return her two-wheeler. She was also upset as she was out of money and work during the corona-virus lockdown.
After the "So-Called suicide" of Disha Salian and Sushant Singh Rajput; a series of actors and well known personalities are said to have committed suicide. A lot of People have been undergoing mental breakdown during the corona pandemic, but a sect of people still tend to show no support to people undergoing such problems.
