Centre Accepts Bihar Government's Plea; CBI To Now Investigate Sushant's Death Mystery.

Solicitor General Tushar Mehta on Wednesday stated before the Supreme Court that The Centre has accepted the Bihar government's recommendation for a CBI probe into death case of late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

This announcement comes in just a day after the Bihar Chief Minister sent the Centre the request on receiving the consent of the actor’s father KK Singh. The CBI, which falls under the Union Home Ministry, will now take over the probe.
This development also comes on the day that the apex court is hearing Rhea Chakraborty's petition seeking direction for a transfer of the investigation from Patna to Mumbai.

The Supreme Court has also said that the "truth should come out so far as actor's death is concerned," quoted PTI.

According to reports, the lawyer representing Sushant Singh Rajput's father has claimed in the Supreme Court that the "Maharashtra Police is destroying evidence in the case."

Earlier, Chakraborty's lawyer had said that the Bihar government cannot transfer the case related to the death of the actor to the CBI as it does not have jurisdiction in the matter.
