International Flights Further Banned Till 31st August.

The ban on international commercial passenger flights has been extended to August 31, even as 'transport bubble' agreements allowing flights between India and specific countries are being worked out; the latest being with Kuwait.

The term 'transport bubble' coined by the Civil Aviation ministry refers to a temporary arrangement between two countries allowing Airlines from both countries to operate similar number of flights into each other's territory.

The ministry came with this model after countries raised question against the Monopoly that Air India enjoyed on international routes in/out of India. Mumbai Airport handled 21 flights between July 22 and 31st under 'Transport Bubble' between India and US, Germany and France said an airport spokesperson.
