The Union Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla has written to all Chief Secretaries requesting them to not to impose restrictions on inter state movement of people and goods and services.
Bhalla's letter says "It Has,however, been reported that local level restrictions on movement are being imposed by various districts/state. Such restrictions are creating problems in Inter-State Movement of goods and services and are impacting the supply chain, resulting in disruption of economic activities and employment, besides affecting the supply of goods and services."
The final part of the letter said that he requests that there should be no more restrictions on inter state movement of people and goods and services and instructions mentioned in the Guidelines by MHA to be followed strictly.
The Home Secretary further said that no separate permission or approval or e-permit will be required for movement of people from one state to another.
