PSG celebrating the equalizer through Marquinhos

The UCL mini tournament finally kicked off in Lisbon on Wednesday night when Atalanta faced French Champions Paris Saint Germain in the one legged quarter final tie. Atalanta came into the match having finished 3rd in Serie A behind Inter and Juventus. PSG had been awarded the League title because they were first when football was suspended in France and the league was suspended.

Atalanta were without their RO16 star and main man Josip Ilicic who was absent for personal reasons. PSG had good news as star striker Kylian Mbappe was on the bench.

With Mbappe on the bench and Cavani Departed, the attack's main charge was on star man Neymar. He had a pretty great game and did everything right apart from finishing. He had the best chance to give PSG the lead when he found himself one-on-one with the keeper, only to put his effort wide in the 4th minute.

Atalanta were not at their best, but played good in the first half an hour and went 1-0 up when Pasalic who curled up a stunning shot beyond Navas. Atalanta failed to make up another chance and were desperate in Defending as they picked up 6 yellow cards.

PSG brought on Kylian Mbappe in the 60th minute to get some fire power and that's what PSG were missing. They held on to late but got their deserved equalizer in 90th minute through Marquinhos, assisted by Neymar. Atalanta started preparing for Extra time but the French side had other plans.

Kylian Mbappe had a very great influence on the game since his introduction and he settled up Eric Choupo-Moting in the 3rd minute of 5 added minutes of injury time to send PSG through and break Atalanta hearts.

PSG will now face either RB LEIPZIG OR ATLETICO MADRID in the Semi Finals and would hope to land their first Champions League title.
