Born on 26 September 1932, Dr. Manmohan Singh is an Indian economist, academic, and politician who served as the 13th Prime Minister of India from 2004 to 2014.
He held several key posts in the Government of India during the 1970s and 1980s; such as Chief Economic Advisor (1972–76), governor of the Reserve Bank (1982–85) and head of the Planning Commission (1985–87).
According to an official data, Under Dr. Manmohan Singh's Prime Ministership during 2006-07, Indian economy soared at 10.08% growth rate; the highest since liberalisation of the economy in 1991.
He has achieved and held more than 25 posts and degrees in the Life. He had been awarded not just the Padma Vibhushan Award but numerous other Awards.
