Today 28th September,2020 marks the 91st Birth Anniversary of arguably the greatest female singer of all time, Lata Mangeshkar Ji. She was born in 1921 to Deenanath Mangeshkar and Shevanti Mangeshkar. She is the elder sister of singers Meena,Asha and Usha also known as Meena Tai Asha Bhosle and Usha Mangeshkar.
Known as "Nightingale of India", Lata Ji has Recorded and sung over 1000 thousands songs,in 36 regional languages over an illustrious 7 Decade Career. She won many awards for her songs. For her enormous contribution to Indian Cinema she was awarded the Padma Bhushan (1969), DadaSaheb Phalke Award (1989), Padma Vibhushan (1999), Bharat Ratna (2001) and Legion of Honour (2007).
