Maharashtra's CM Uddhav Thackeray has said that Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHS) will conduct a door to door visit to check on the health of people across the entire state.
He said "It will not be testing. It is to enquire about other diseases(present) in a family, their health status and to check pneumonia like symptoms. They (surveyors) will also collect information on the use of mask and how social distancing norms (are being followed)".
The CM expressed his tension for the growing cases in Western part of the state with Pune overtaking Mumbai and Delhi as the worst hit city in the country.
When asked about whether religious places will be opened for festivities he simply replied and said that they have not thought about it at the moment and if they decide to open it then they will have to take some precautions first.
