First Year Classes to began from November 1

 

According to a new notice issued by the Mumbai University, the classes for first year students will start from November 1,2020 and no new admissions will be made after November 30th,2020. This new timetable has been approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC).

It had first released a timetable on April 29 for higher secondary education students that final year and terminal examination of them should be conducted from July 1 to July 15 and the results must be declared by August. It has also mentioned that the classes of first year students will begin from September 1,2020.

However after the surge in cases in July, made UGC to change their minds and the timetable and exams were postponed to September end.Now the delay is entrance exams have made them to change the date of starting of classes for first year from September 1 to November 1.

All higher education Institutions have now been advised to teach 6 days a week to make for the time lost in lockdown and also to breaks and vacations.
