On Sunday, India Surpassed Brazil to become the world's 2nd worst hit Country after United States of America,when it recorded a highest single day spike around the world with 90,802 cases.
With the addition of this cases, The total tally of cases in India reached 42,04,613. The death count increased to 71,642 when the country recorded more than one thousand deaths in a day with 1,016 fatalities.
The Country's recovery rate reached 77.2 percent as the number of Recoveries now stand 32,50,439. The number of increase in cases has been said due to the lifting of restrictions of Lockdown as India continues in Unlock 4 phase. The other reason is said to be the number of test everyday. India is now testing around 10-11 lakh test everyday.
Maharashtra continues to be the worst hit state in the country followed by Andhra Pradesh,Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.
