Manish Malhotra gets Notice from BMC over unauthorised constructions

 

Two days after BMC, demolished the Office of Actress Kangana Ranaut, they have now sent a notice to Fashion Designer, Manish Malhotra over taking unauthorised constructions and converting them into residential areas.

The officials said that they have issued the notice on Monday to him. They also visited and inspected his Bunglow at the Pali Hill in Bandra West. The noticed is issued under the Section 351 of the Mumbai Municipal Corporation (MMC) Act 1888,asking him to furnish 'documents' to prove that the 'unauthorized constructions' are legal.

According to the notice issued by the Civic body, Malhotra is being accused of turning his office from residental to commercial on first floor, illegal addition and alteration for cabin on the first floor as well as illegal construction of two structures with brick masonary wall and AC sheet roof on the terrace of second floor.

"If he fails to submit documents within 7 days of the notice being issued, then the structure can be demolished" said an BMC offical. Unlike Kagana Ranaut, He has been given 7 days to prove his construction legal.

BMC offical clarified that Kangana was issued a "top work" order under section 354(A) in which one has to reply a file within 24 hours and cleared that BMC doesn't have 'double standards'.
