Neymar Accuses Marseille Defender Alvaro Gonzalez for Racism

On Sunday Marseille defeated Arch Rivals Paris Saint Germain at the Parc De France 1-0, but the game will be remembered for the controversy at the ending of the match which saw 14 Yellow Cards and 5 Red Cards.

At the end of the match, Neymar reported that he heard Alvaro using racial slangs against him. After a confrontation with the defender, Neymar would shove him down the ground which resulted in a huge brawl out between the teams.

Neymar was shown a second yellow along side teammate Daniel Paredes and Lavyin Kuzawa with Marseille duo of Jordi Amavi and Dario Benedetto as the match finished 8v9 for the teams.

Neymar would later take to Twitter that the only regret he had was "not punching" Alvaro in the face. Alvaro would latter take to his own social media and deny the allegations made by Neymar saying that there is no room for Racism and Neymar should accept the Defeat like a sportsman.

This defeat means Thomas Tuchel side have lost their opening 2 matches of Ligue 1 and has put his job in trouble after failing on the final hurdle against Bayern Munchen in the Champions League.
