Mumbai NCB seized 590 gm of Hashish, 0.64 gm of LSD sheets, 304 gms of marijuana, Rs 1,85,200- in cash and 5000 Indonesian Rupiah in a raid on Sunday,6th Sepetember.
"One person namely Anuj Keshwani is under examination for questioning. His name was revealed during the interrogation of Kaizan Ibrahim (arrested earlier), who had disclosed Anuj Keshwani was his supplier for the contrabands. The quantity of LSD that has been recovered is commercial quantity under NDPS Act," the NCB said in a statement.
NCB Zonal Director, Sameer Wankhede:We have recorded Rhea Chakraborthy's statement. But, because of her late arrival today, the investigation could not be completed. So, she has been summoned tomorrow(7th September, Monday) as well.
After being interrogated for 6 hours by the NCB, Mumbai Police escorted Rhea Chakraborty to her building.
Meanwhile, the CBI conducted another 'medical recreation' at Sushant Singh Rajput's residence.
As per sources, Rhea Chakraborty has admitted to the NCB that she procured drugs. The Bollywood actor has admitted that she bought drugs via her brother Showik Chakraborty.
Rhea Chakraborty reached NCB with Mumbai Police Protection at the noon on 6th September(Sunday).
[Earlier in the morning, sources had informed that a five-member team is ready at the NCB to question Rhea Chakraborty. The NCB deputy director will be present at the time of questioning but will not be a part of the team.
The NCB would also record a statement from Rhea on all the angles and points where the agency feels that the statements of Dipesh Sawant, Showik Chakraborty, and Samuel Miranda do not match.
The NCB has a list of 28 drug peddlers which has been found in the data search from all the accused previously arrested. The line of questioning will follow the supply of banned drugs from Rhea Chakraborty to further individuals.]
- On Sunday evening, Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) said: On the basis of statements of Dipesh Sawant, house help of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, & digital evidence collected by NCB, it is clear that Dipesh is an active member of drug syndicate connected with high society personalities & drug suppliers.
- Earlier today, in a massive development, a local court on Sunday ordered Dipesh Sawant to NCB custody until September 9. He was produced by the NCB in front of the court as they sought a remand. Dipesh Sawant was arrested on Saturday.
- At 4:34 IST on September 6th 2020, Sushant Singh Rajput's sister Meetu Singh left DRDO guesthouse after being questioned by the CBI for the second consecutive day.
- As revealed in the remand copy of Dipesh Sawant, he claimed to have gone to receive five grams of cannabis from Zaid, who has also been arrested, on the instructions of Showik, on March 13, 2020. As per a WhatsApp conversation, Showik also asked Dipesh to collect 'ganja' from a person named Dwayne on May 1.
- The CBI questioned Cooper Hospital doctors about the marks on Sushant's body. The late actor's post-mortem had been conducted at the hospital. As per sources, a team of doctors from AIIMS were also present when Cooper Hospital's doctors were questioned. A point of questioning would be about the cloth that was found at the scene, and if such a cloth of that nature can cause those marks.
- The CBI questioned the ambulance driver, who had taken Sushant's mortal remains from his residence to the Cooper Hospital. He was asked about details of his conversation with Sandip Ssingh, who had taken the body to the hospital. Sushant's manager Shruti Modi and former talent manager Jaya Saha too were being questioned.
- At 2:14 pm on Sunday, NCB raids were currently underway. Two teams of NCB were carrying out raids in Bandra and Santacruz area. Sources said that certain names which had emerged in chats recovered from Showik are also under the scanner. As per sources, Showik Chakraborty during interrogation had named some dealers and NCB is trying to find these dealers.
