Temperatures and Humidity Rise in Mumbai with No Rains

 

Mumbai has been experiencing an increase in the temperature and humidity in the past few days. Now According to a report by Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), this type of climate is likely to continue for the next few days.

The maximum temperature recorded by IMD's observatory Santacruz was 33.6°© while Colaba station recorded 33.2°©. The relative humidity was 85 percent. The IMD has now predicted that the temperature will remain near 33°© for the next 48 hours.

Deputy Director-General of Meteorology, K S Hosalikar tweeted that "Mumbaikars (are) currently experiencing a rise in Temperature and high Humidity. Last 4-5 days (has seen) less rains,bright sunny days, cloudy skies in evening and rain with thunderstorms. Weather is likely to remain same for the next few days".

After receiving around 67 percent surplass rainfall than average in August, the city had received 50 percent deficient rains in the first five days of September. No rainfall was recorded on Saturday.
