Gyms and Fitness Centres reopen in Maharashtra

After Seven Long Months, Gyms and Fitness Centres reopened from Monday, October 26 bringing a little relief for gym owners but the fear of exposure of COVID-19 still exists.

Maharashtra Fitness and Gym Association's spokesperson Ram Panchal said "Existing members are reluctant to return because they fear being infected by the virus. However, we did receive many inquiries about new memberships on Monday. Those who have recovered from the virus, or had other infections have realised the importance of excerising regularly" when asked about how the situation is going on.

At the moment according to reports around 70% of gyms and Fitness Centres have reopened in the state. Though multinational franchises such as Anytime Fitness, have started offering their members to book session and reserve them into time slots through WhatsApp number dedicated.

Also widely known, cult.fit which allows it's members to book slots and their desired workout at their nearest centres is yet to reopen in Mumbai.
