Major Fire Breakout In Mumbai Central Area

 


It took an entire night to control the fire

On Thursday Night, a major fire broke out in the City Central Mall in Mumbai Central area and was not under control till Friday Morning. It is reported that the fire had spread on second and third floor of the mall.

Just above the mall is a residental building named Orchid Tower. For the safety of the people, around 3,500 of them were evacuated. The roads leading to this area was then closed as fire brigades started their work.

Around 250 firemen and 24 fire engines were deployed in this case. It is reported that two firemen have been injured in this process and were shifted to a nearby local medical facility for their treatment.

A minister of Samajwadi Party who lives in this building along with his family said that there was sight of panic within people when they saw fire smoked up and started to take cover and evacuate. He even said that there was a similar fire accident earlier in the mall as well and he even complained about it but no one listened to him.
