PM Modi announces Property Card Scheme

 

On Sunday Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the physical distribution of property cards under the SVAMITVA(ownership) scheme via video conferencing.

He has claimed that this will be historic move and will pave a way for villagers to use property as a financial asset.

According to the Prime Minister Office (PMO) this will help one lakh property holders to download their property cards through an SMS link sent through their mobile phones which would be followed by physical distribution of cards by respective state governments.

The beneficiaries of this scheme are said to be from 763 villages across six states across the country including 346 from Uttar Pradesh,221 from Haryana,100 from Maharashtra,44 from Madhya Pradesh,50 from Uttarakhand and two from Karnataka.
