In the ongoing allegations of 'TRP Scam' by Republic Media Network, the Mumbai Police Crime Branch summoned 6 more people, including the Cheif Executive Officer(CEO) and two Chief Operating Officers of Republic Media Network as well as CEO of Hansa Research.
The police have summoned them after they arrested 4 people on Friday. However only advertising agencies executives, Sam Balsara and Sashi Sinha CEO of IPG media brands arrived at the headquarters.
S Sundaram, Chief Financial Officer of Republic Media Network wrote a letter to Mumbai Police stating that he is out of town and will be available in Mumbai after October 14-15. In his letter he also wrote that they have written a petition under Supreme Court and have asked for a early hearing and thus requested to stop any further investigation regarding Republic TV and it's employees are concerned.
The Investigating team has asked Balsara and Sinha to provide them with a detailed history of their clients for the last 2 years. On Thursday Mumbai Police had arrested four people, Vishal Bhandari, Bompalli Rao, Narayan Sharma (Owner of Box Cinema) and Shirish Shetty(Fakt Marathi Owner).
