Ryan International School gets a Notice from NMMC for Removing Students who didn't pay the fees

A School named Ryan International School based in Sanpada,Navi Mumbai has received a showcause notice by Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) for allegedly removing students from online class for not being able to pay fees.

Parents claim that many students have been removed from the school by senior faculties on Friday,2nd October after the deadline had expired to pay the fees.

On October 3, a showcause notice was then sent to the school by the Municipal Corporation on the behalf of the complaints by the parents insisting that the school had broken moral values and violated the Right to Education Provision of students.

The notice signed off by Commissioner Abhijit Banger read "You have Deprived students from compulsory education and also caused mental harassment to students by violating the provisions of RTE Act,2009."

The school however denied such claims and a spokesperson of the Ryan International School in a response through an email said that they are in contact with the Commissioner and said that they might be some misclarifications and that they have explained their point to the Civic body.

This is not the first time a school or a college has been caught demanding fees from the students and parents and threatening them to remove their ward if the payment is undone after the expiry date.
