A Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) bus on Friday Night met with a accident while going to Mumbai from Satara leading to the death of one passengers and injuries to around 16 others.
The Bus was on its way from Satara and was hit by an unidentified trailer at around 1:30 am at Night on the right side on the Mumbai Pune Expressway. The Drive of the trailer then ran away with the trailer.
But due to some quick rescue operation, many passengers were saved. The injured passengers are rushed and admitted to the MGM Hospital in Kamothe near Panvel. The one who unfortunately died at the spot is said to be BEST(Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport) employee.
Minister of Transport of Maharashtra, Anil Parab said that the family of the deceased will be give an amount of Rs 10 lakh for some comfort in this tough time for them.
The Local Police are now in the search of the driver of the trailer and questioning . According to some sources, the driver of the trailer must have been under the influence and lost his balance.
