Policeman Who Arrested Seriel Killer Raman Raghav Passes Away

In 1968, the streets of Mumbai were in fear as a Seriel Killer was on the loose. Men,Women and Children were getting killed in the suburbs with no mercy. Then on August 24, Sub Inspector Alex Fialho spotted a man carrying a wet umbrella in a perfectly sunny day in Dongri. He walked up to him and placed his hand on his shoulder and just like that Seriel Killer Raman Raghav was arrested.

Raghav Raman' arrest became the biggest highlight of Fialho' career. For this he was awarded the President's medal for the arrest and retired as Assistant Commissioner of Police. On Saturday during the Eve of Diwali, Alex Fialho passed away in Mumbai at the age of 92.

People were given a peak of Raman Raghav' life in Anurag Kashyap's 2016 movie, the Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer Raman Raghav 2.0. After the release of the movie, Fialho gave countless interviews of the case that defined his career.

After being questioned Raghav admitted to his 40 murders and was sentenced to life imprisonment. In one of the interview after Raman Raghav 2.0, Fialho admitted that one of his regrets was that Raghav passed away before him.
