Sanjay Raut: Karachi Sweets is in Mumbai for 60 Years and there is no need to change their name

Shiv Sena's senior leader and spokesperson has now backed the owner of the famous "Karachi Bakery and Karachi Sweets " for their name and said that they don't need to change it as it has been in Mumbai for the past 60 years.

The Development of this comes after the criticism raised by Shiv Sena Leader Nitin Nandgaonkar. A video had gone viral on social media networks where he was seen asking the owner of the Bandra based shop owner to change it in something Marathi.

He said "You Can name the shop anything you want. You can name it after your ancestors, but not Karachi." The owner said that his shop is named after the ancestors of his family originally hailed from Karachi.

In a tweet Raut backed the owner of the shop and said "Karachi Bakery and Karachi Sweets have been in Mumbai since the last 60 years. They have nothing to do with Pakistan. It makes no sense to ask for changing their names now." He also said that this is not the offical notice by Shiv Sena.
