USA Becomes The First Country to Cross 10 Million Coronavirus Cases

 


On Sunday, The United States of America became the first nation to cross the 10 million cases mark since the pandemic began in March as a third wave of Covid-19 Virus surges through the country. This Grim Milestone comes on the exact day when the global cases mark crossed 50 million.

For a 4th day running, the US Recorded more than 100,000 cases in a single day with a record of 131,420 cases on Saturday. The rate of infection has skyrocketed as it only took mere 10 days for cases to reach 10 million from 9 million.

The latest development from US reports that around 105,600 cases a day has been reported in a 7 day span. That is around 29% more than combined average of India and France the two worst hit Nations of Asia and Europe.

America has reported over 237,000 deaths due to Covid-19. The number of deaths reported nationwide climbed by more than 1,000 for a fifth day running. Such a trend was last seen in August.
